SUMMARY:Trauma-Informed YTT: Practicum (Winter 2024)
DESCRIPTION:Are you a yoga teacher interested in learning to teach yoga in a trauma-informed way? Do you want to make your classes a safer and more inclusive space? Join our expert-led Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training! In this comprehensive 45-hour Yoga Alliance-approved teacher training\, you’ll study with highly skilled trauma-informed instructors and learn how trauma affects our thoughts\, expresses itself in the body\, and shows up in the yoga room. Students in this program explore a wide range of topics\, including intersectionality\, mindfulness\, somatic psychology\, neuroscience\, and how yoga philosophy intersects with modern psychology on the topic of trauma. This interactive training is entirely online\, so it can be taken from anywhere! \nThis module–Practicum–is to be taken when you are close to the end of the program. In Part I\, you will attend and experience a one-hour trauma-informed class led by a teacher on the Trauma-Informed Teacher Training staff\, and then spend time discussing the class. In Part II\, you will come prepared to teach a 30-minute sequence to one another and receive feedback on your class! \nThis module can be taken only as part of the complete Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training. The Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training provides 45 elective contact hours in Folk’s 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training\, or 45 CEUs if you are already a registered yoga teacher.  \nSchedule:  \nPart I: Wednesday\, December 4\, 2024 I 6pm-7:30pm \nPart II: Wednesday\, December 11\, 2024 I 6pm-7:30pm \nThis training is completely virtual. \nPrice: \n$990 for the complete program.
