…excited to come back…

After participating in prenatal yoga with Gabby for several months during my pregnancy, it was wonderful to come back to the Yoga Garden after my daughter’s birth to take part in Mom and Baby yoga. The first few weeks postpartum were tough and isolating; I was so excited to come back to the yoga studio after six weeks away and reconnect with other women who had been my peers during my pregnancy. Gabby is a gifted teacher who creates a warm and welcoming space for new mothers in her yoga class. She supported me and my classmates not only in recovering  physically from birth but also in dealing with all the challenges new mothers face, from breastfeeding to sleep deprivation and beyond. While I worked on opening my overworked shoulders and neck, my newborn daughter had the opportunity to meet other babies and experience the world outside our home for the first time.
