Handstands are not just for gymnasts. Standing on our hands offers a wide range of physical, energetic, and emotional benefits. It strengthens our wrists and fingers, opens our shoulders, helps us to be more playful, and offers us a new perspective from which to view the world. Handstands also teach us how to be more fearless and freeâ€”on and off the mat.
Join Karen Macklin and Ariel Mihic on Saturday, April 27th from 2:00 – 4:30 for a workshop to help new hand-standers to build the strength and courage needed to go upside down with stability and ease, while offering advanced techniques and refinement for those who are more experienced. The workshop will include an energetic flow, partner work, strength-training exercises, various inversion practices, and meditation. Bring your willingness and a sense of humor!
