This overview class introduces the use of mindfulness practices of meditation, yoga, and mindful living to prepare for the challenges of pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. This class begins the journey of cultivating lifelong skills for healthy living and wise parenting.
In this course participants will learn and practice:
- skills for mental and physical relaxation
- techniques to help cope with pain during labor
- the hormonal physiology of childbirth, breast feeding and babies
- prenatal yoga for labor
You will leave this one day workshop with increased confidence and courage for your labor and delivery and for you life as parents. This class is appropriate for parents planning hospital, birth center and home births.
Tea will be served. Cost for this class is $40 per person ($70/couple). Register by July 31 and the cost is $35 per person ($60/couple).
