New Class – Subtle Body Yoga

with Cator Shachoy

Beginning Thursday, January 13, we’ll be adding a new class to our schedule!

Cator will be leading Subtle Body Yoga from 6:00 – 7:30 PM on Thursday evenings.  This is a class based in the Iyengar system, complemented by the instructor’s experience of insight meditation and training as an energy healer.  Immediately following Subtle Body Yoga, we’ll be offering a meditation class.  Click here for more information.

Cator Shachoy helps people heal their bodies, minds, & hearts through compassionate awareness, yoga, and Craniosacral Bodywork.  She began the practices of Yoga, Buddhist Meditation, and Energy Healing in 1990 as the result of chronic illness. Through the regular practice of these disciplines, she regained her strength and vitality.

Cator completed teacher training through the Iyengar Yoga Instititute of San Francisco, and Kripalu Yoga Center, and has taught yoga in San Francisco since 1998.  She is the founder of Youth Yoga Dharma – a non-profit dedicated to offering youth the skills of yoga & meditation – youthyogadharma.org.  Cator enjoys bringing the practices of yoga & meditation together through offering a period of silent sitting meditation after most yoga classes.

Cator has been lucky enough to practice Buddhist meditation with leading western teachers and asian masters, both in daily life and extended retreat.  She is a certified practitioner of Visionary Craniosacral Bodywork with a specialty in pediatrics through the Milne Institute, and has a private practice working with a broad range of clients in San Francisco – subtlebodyhealing.net.  Her yoga classes weave together the precision of Iyengar Yoga, Mindfulness, and gentle clarity of energy healing.  She delights in sharing the practices that inspire her life.
