As part of our merger with Moxie Yoga, we are excited to welcome Wipawee Morris to the team!
Tell us about yourself! What are some things that your students might not know?
I love nature and the outdoors! Going to the beach and hiking are two of my favorite things.
How did you become interested in yoga?
At first, it was just another form of exercise that I wanted to try. Then I started to fall in love with the whole feeling of yoga, and the combination of the physical and mental connection it creates.
Tell us about your yoga journey. What style did you start in and with whom do you study now?
I started with vinyasa class but now I like to slow it down and hold the poses for a few breaths longer.
Describe your teaching style. What can folks expect when they attend your class?
For my prenatal class, I focus on poses that help pregnant women increase the strength and flexibility for both body and mind, especially for the stamina needed for labor. The class offers gentler, less strenuous sequences and uses props to support the body in poses. I love teaching prenatal yoga and creating a safe space for pregnant mamas to find friendships and community. For my vinyasa class, I focus on the movement and breath, stilling allow time for an extra breath in the pose to understand its alignment.
Any exciting projects or plans on the horizon?
Helping my oldest son figure out his path toward his dream to be a professional ballet dancer.
