Yoga and flowers? What better way to enter the longer days of spring! In this creative workshop, you’ll begin with a yoga practice to explore nature’s elements to allow breath, body and awareness to flow together. Spring invites a gentle nudge to stretch, to awaken and to create space.
You will then dive into the art of Ikebana. This 600-year-old Japanese practice of flower arranging cultivates mindfulness, presence, and an appreciation for natural beauty.
Susie Lee and Ikebana master Louise Gregory will lead this 2-hour workshop, guiding you through an introduction to Japanese flower arranging.
In Flow with Flowers: Yoga and Ikebana, you will:
– Enjoy a nature-centered flow practice
– Learn the background and lineage of Ikebana
– Explore how to mindfully choose and handle flowers for styling
– Close with a tea and reflection circle
– Meet other like-minded yogis and flower lovers
– Take home your beautiful Ikebana arrangement
All experience levels are welcome.
