Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training
Dismantling Cultural Appropriation | 3 Hours – VIRTUAL with Harpinder Mann
Harpinder Mann, the co-founder of the Womxn of Color Summit, will lead this three-hour training on the subject of cultural appropriation in the modern yoga world. Bringing in her unique perspective and experiences as an Indian-American, Harpinder will create a space to learn about:
- How cultural appropriation harms individuals, communities, and societies
- The complex relationship between cultural appropriation, colonization, and New Age spirituality
- How informed yoga teachers can better honor yoga’s roots and dismantle cultural appropriation by consciously releasing patterns of oppression and cultivating compassion, equanimity, and integrity
