Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Denelle Numis

January 19 - February 4

If you’ve ever practiced Yin Yoga, you know the delicious dreamy feeling of releasing your body into the deep, long-held stretches that the practice is known for. In Yin Yoga, we hold these passive poses for extended periods of time to support the release and opening of the connective tissue in the body. As we practice these stationary stretches, we cultivate deep internal focus and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to facilitate rest and relaxation, and aiding in the recovery process from more athletic activities.

This Yin Yoga Teacher Training, led by Denelle Numis (E-RYT 500), is designed for all yoga teachers who would like to experience this form of yoga, understand its benefits, and learn how to teach it to your students. The training is also open to anyone who would like to develop a deeper understanding of Yin Yoga as a personal practice.

In this teacher training, you will learn:

  1. the history of Yin Yoga
  2. the physiology of Yin Yoga
  3. how to practice a variety of Yin Yoga poses
  4. how to use props to support the longevity and sustainability of our practice
  5. how to intelligently and mindfully sequence a Yin Yoga class

This training includes asana practice, theory, discussion, and practicum.
