About the Role
The Studio Manager is the on-site leader for their assigned Folk Yoga studio. They support instructors, lead the front desk team, and steward the in-studio experience—from the way the space feels when you walk in, to how supported clients feel when they leave.
This role directly impacts:
- Membership growth and retention
- Instructor experience and class quality
- Front desk performance and service standards
- The overall energy, culture, and care of each studio
Studio Managers serve as the bridge between studio life and leadership—turning big-picture strategy into real, lived experience inside the space.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Leadership & Instructor Support
- Serve as the main point of contact for instructors and wellness providers
- Support class quality through observation, feedback, and communication
- Help build thoughtful, balanced class schedules
- Manage substitutions, cancellations, and availability in Momence
- Support onboarding and development of instructors and contractors
- Collaborate on auditions, hiring, and performance feedback
- Help bring workshops, pop-ups, and community events to life
Community, Sales & Membership Growth
- Build welcoming studio cultures rooted in belonging
- Lead relationship-based sales through real conversations
- Support trial students into finding the right membership path
- Activate referrals, ambassadors, and local partnerships
- Execute marketing initiatives inside the studio
- Share local insights and community feedback with leadership
Front Desk Leadership & Client Experience
- Hire, train, and coach front desk team members
- Create schedules that match studio needs
- Maintain service standards and policies
- Handle escalated client concerns with care
- Improve systems for smoother service and communication
Facilities & Studio Readiness
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and visual presentation
- Track inventory of props, supplies, and retail
- Coordinate restocks and deliveries
- Install and refresh marketing materials and signage
Reporting & Strategy
- Track attendance, retention, sales, and engagement
- Share insights to support forecasting and programming
- Help translate company goals into studio action
- Support weekly and quarterly growth goals

Role Details
Location: In-person – at one of our Folk Yoga studios
Schedule: Part-time; 15+ hours/week, including at least one evening and one weekend day
