We’re Hiring: Studio Managers at Folk Yoga

At Folk Yoga, our studios are more than places to take class—they’re spaces where people come to feel seen, supported, and part of something real. Each location is its own little ecosystem, and every one of them needs a strong heart at the center. That’s why we’re hiring Studio Managers across our studio locations:

  1. NOPA
  2. MISSION
  3. RICHMOND

Location: In-person – at one of our Folk Yoga studios
Schedule: Part-time; 15+ hours/week, including at least one evening and one weekend day

This role is for someone who loves people, thrives in community, and believes leadership is about care, clarity, and consistency.

About the Role

The Studio Manager is the on-site leader for their assigned Folk Yoga studio. They support instructors, lead the front desk team, and steward the in-studio experience—from the way the space feels when you walk in, to how supported clients feel when they leave.

This role directly impacts:

  • Membership growth and retention
  • Instructor experience and class quality
  • Front desk performance and service standards
  • The overall energy, culture, and care of each studio

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the in-studio experience for students, instructors, and front desk staff
  • Build and maintain the weekly class schedule; manage substitutions as needed
  • Support instructor onboarding, communication, and class quality
  • Drive studio-level membership growth through relationships, follow-ups, and referrals
  • Foster a warm, inclusive community that supports retention and engagement
  • Hire, train, and coach front desk team members
  • Ensure the studio is clean, safe, well-stocked, and operationally ready each day
  • Oversee studio supplies, props, and retail inventory; coordinate restocks and deliveries
  • Flag and coordinate maintenance needs, repairs, and facility improvements
  • Support workshops, pop-ups, and community programming
  • Handle escalated client issues with care and professionalism
  • Track and report studio-level metrics (attendance, sales activity, retention, and client experience) and share insights with leadership for strategic decisions

Who We Are Looking For

  • A people-first leader who loves building community
  • Comfortable with membership sales conversations rooted in service, not pressure
  • Organized, reliable, and proactive with strong follow-through
  • Able to balance operations with heart
  • Confident working independently while collaborating with a larger team
  • Passionate about yoga, wellness, and creating meaningful experiences
  • Strong understanding of how in-studio experience, class quality, and relationships directly impact membership growth and retention
  • An active instructor at your home Folk Yoga studio upon hire
