Winter 2027 Yoga Teacher Training: Save $800 with Super Early Bird

There often comes a point in your yoga practice when simply taking class no longer answers every question.

You begin to wonder why a sequence is designed a certain way. How anatomy, philosophy, and history shape the practice. What makes an instruction genuinely helpful. Or what it might feel like to guide someone else through the experience yoga has given you.

That curiosity is often where teacher training begins.

Folk Yoga’s Winter 2027 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is now enrolling in two formats: a three-month Part-Time program and a one-month Full-Time immersion.

Enroll by November 1 to receive our lowest tuition of $2,899—a savings of $800.

What You’ll Explore

Folk’s curriculum brings together the study of yoga with the practical craft of teaching.

Asana and Alignment

Study foundational postures, alignment principles, modifications, and accessible ways to support different bodies.

Anatomy and Movement

Develop a clearer understanding of how the body moves and apply that knowledge to thoughtful, purposeful teaching.

Yoga History and Philosophy

Explore the roots of yoga and consider how its teachings can extend beyond the studio and into everyday life.

Sequencing and Class Design

Learn how to build an intentional class with a clear arc, thoughtful transitions, and meaningful themes.

Teaching and Communication

Develop your voice, refine your cues, and learn to guide students with clarity, confidence, and care.

Practice Teaching and Feedback

Put your knowledge into practice through teaching exercises, observation, constructive feedback, and reflection.

You do not need to arrive knowing how to teach. The training is where you begin learning.

Choose from our 2 Formats

Both formats cover the complete 200-Hour curriculum. The primary difference is how you want to experience the training.

Part-Time Program: January 10–April 4, 2027

The Part-Time program unfolds over three months, giving you more time to absorb and integrate what you learn while balancing work, family, and everyday life.

What Makes Folk Yoga Teacher Training Different?

For nearly two decades, Folk Yoga School has supported students as they deepen their practice, develop their voices, and grow into thoughtful teachers and leaders.

Our training offers:

  • Depth and breadth: Study alignment-based vinyasa, anatomy, philosophy, sequencing, and teaching methodology as parts of one integrated practice.
  • Experienced faculty: Learn from senior instructors who bring decades of combined teaching and mentorship experience.
  • Hands-on learning: Build confidence through practice teaching, observation, discussion, and constructive feedback.
  • A supportive community: Learn alongside people who will challenge, encourage, and grow with you throughout the experience.
  • A lasting foundation: Graduate with practical teaching tools and a deeper understanding of yoga that continues to shape your practice after the training ends.

This is more than a certificate. It is an education rooted in yoga tradition and designed for the realities of teaching today.

You Don’t Have to Feel Completely Ready

Many students consider teacher training long before they feel ready to enroll.

They wonder whether they are flexible enough, experienced enough, confident enough, or certain enough that they want to teach.

You do not need to have the strongest physical practice in the room. You do not need to know exactly where the training will lead. And you do not need to arrive feeling ready to stand in front of a class.

Confidence develops through preparation and experience.

What matters most is your curiosity, your willingness to learn, and your commitment to showing up for the process.

Where Could Your Practice Take You?

You may leave teacher training ready to begin teaching.

You may discover a new direction for your work or community involvement. Or you may return to your personal practice with greater knowledge, purpose, and curiosity.

You do not need to know the ending before you begin.

If something about teacher training continues to call your attention, we invite you to explore the programs, meet the faculty, and take the next step.
