“There has been much research done proving that the black community experiences a higher level of daily stressors for numerous reasons and have a shorter life expectancy rate. Hypertension and depression are two of the top health concerns in the US – black men and women face a significantly higher rate of hypertension than any other community. It is my mission to give back to my community by providing a safe and healing space in a world where the oppressed are constantly in fight or flight mode.” – Chelsea Russell
