FYS 300-Hour Membership Terms and Conditions:
These are the terms and conditions of the Folk Yoga School (FYS) 300-Hour Membership. By using your FYS 300-Hour Membership at any time, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
The FYS 300 Hour Membership is an annual membership for $3,999, payable in full or in 12 monthly payments. This membership allows you, the Member, to take all programs offered at Folk for no additional fees, with the exception of the 200 Hour Teacher Training Program. This includes weekly yoga classes, 300-hour yoga teacher training core modules, advanced studies electives, mentorship and workshops.
Your membership will activate upon your first Folk’s advanced studies elective, mentorship or workshop, that is your membership start date will correspond with the start date of your first training program.
Failure to make timely payments constitutes default of this agreement. In the event of default, Folk may refer this account to a collection agency and accelerate the entire balance due. Member agrees to pay all reasonable costs for the collection of any unpaid balance.
This membership is non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be suspended or extended. Member may notify Folk of their intention to not complete the term of the membership; however, such notification does not nullify this agreement nor the associated payments.
If Member has not completed the necessary coursework for certification within the year, Member may extend their membership for the additional fee of $250 per month.
A credit card is required to be kept on file to purchase the FYS 300-Hour Membership monthly installment, and must remain active on the account for incidental charges, such as the fees described above.
Certification:
Certificates (and by association, confirmation of RYT-500 status through Yoga Alliance) will only be granted to students who participate in all hours of the training and/or all make-ups required, and who have fully paid their tuition. Each student will receive an electronic copy of their certificate after they complete all graduation requirements, including tuition payment.
To register for a program with your FYS 300 Hour membership, the entire program schedule must fall within your active FYS 300 Hour membership.
Restrictions and Exclusions:
Your membership pays the tuition for all 300-hour teacher training modules, Advanced Studies Electives, Workshops, Mentorship and Yoga Classes offered at FYS, but does not guarantee availability to these programs. Your FYS 300-Hour Membership is a method of payment for Folk programs and classes. It does not constitute, nor guarantee, a reservation for a class or training. Spaces designated for FYS 300-Hour members are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Advanced reservations are required.
You must attend all of the hours of a class or course to receive credit towards your Folk RYT300 certification. If you miss more than 20% of any program, you may not receive credit for that program, and may have to retake the program to receive credit. You are responsible for making up any hours missed, subject to make-up fees and private instruction fees. FYS does not award partial credit for partial attendance or completion.
FYS 300 Hour Members may take one of each offering (space permitting) of 300-hour yoga teacher training modules, Advanced Studies Electives, and Workshops within one year (e.g., one mentorship, one Advanced Asana Practice, one Advanced Subtle Body, et cetera). If you fail to complete a training, you forfeit the right to retake the training during the year-long term of your membership. If you would like to retake the training anyway, you are responsible for all additional tuition.
Your membership does not include any fees for late cancellations and make-ups or costs related to textbooks and props.
FYS 300 Hour Membership excludes special events and retreats offered by Folk, and other programs hosted outside of Folk studio locations, unless otherwise stated.
Withdrawals, Cancellations, No Shows:
You may withdraw from a program without a cancellation fee up to 14 days prior to the start of a program; if you withdraw from a program less than 14 days prior to the start of the program, you must pay a fee of 50% of the regular program tuition to retake the same training program again. Failure to participate (no-show) will be considered a forfeiture of your right to the program.
FYS 300-Hour Members who miss class time in yoga teacher training programs must make up their time to meet the requirements of the program. There is a published fee for this make up, and FYS 300 Hour Members are responsible for this fee.
If you miss part of a training and need to make it up, in-class make ups (repeating the missed material with a subsequent cohort) are $35 per class, or private lessons may be scheduled at a rate of $150/hour.
For Yoga Classes, reservations may be made (space permitting) up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start of class. Students who cancel less than 1 hour before the start of class, or who register but do not attend, will be charged a $20 late cancellation fee. To avoid the fee, you must cancel your reservation at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled start of class.
