As part of our merger with Moxie Yoga, we are excited to welcome Caitlin Ryan to the team!
Tell us about yourself! What are some things that your students might not know?
I also work in kids yoga, I’m passionate about marine conservation, and I’m a total book and graphic novel nerd.
How did you become interested in yoga?
I was introduced to mediation and deep stretching as a competitive swimmer growing up and took my first proper yoga yoga class as a college course at College of Charleston.
Tell us about your yoga journey. What style did you start in and with whom do you study now?
I started out with Pete Guinosso’s Lighting the Path training through Yoga Tree, and continued to do my 500hr with YT, training with Pete again as well as Janet Stone, Sean Haleen, and many more great teachers.
Describe your teaching style. What can folks expect when they attend your class?
My classes are fun, energetic, and anatomical while lightly guiding you to look deeper and be present in the body in each moment.
Any exciting projects or plans on the horizon?
I’m bouncing back from a shoulder surgery and beyond excited to return to teaching. I’ll be bringing lots of sound baths back to my schedule (maybe even some dance/yoga blends as well).
That’s all for now! Follow Caitlin Ryan on Instagram: @sharkysugar.
