Since our Thanksgiving Benefit in November, the Tilden-Keller Community Center was able to raise $1,000 for the sponsored children of Bawana with help from the YGSF community. Over the holidays, Teresa Keller and Doug Tilden visited some of the sponsored children at the main center, where they dressed up and even put on a play! The Community Center continues to grow and exceed their sponsorship expectations. In the first year alone they went from sponsoring 1,000 kids to 2,700- An extraordinary number with room to grow as they talk of opening a second center in 2014.

More about the Tilden-Keller Community Center:

Children International’s programs start off with basic sponsorship. They ensure that the children have medical and dental care as well as clothes to go to school in, help the family understand nutrition, and provide feeding services for malnourished kids.  As the kids grow into youth, CI provides amazing youth empowerment programs designed to teach youth life skills and create opportunities for the youth to grow out of the cycle of poverty.
