Workshop: Find Balance Through Ayurveda

Ayurvedablog3

Ayurveda is the ancient Science of healing naturally, or simply put means “knowledge of life.” Ayurveda is a fascinating study of our mind and body and how it harmonizes with the natural world around us. How can we incorporate the ancient practice of implementing natural herbs, roots, and minerals to promote well-being and balance into our everyday life?

In the practice of Ayurveda, everything that exists including us, root from five basic elements: earth, fire, water, air, and space. These elements, when paired together express particular patterns of energy also known as ‘doshas’, or the mind-body types.

Doshas are unique blends of physical, emotional, and mental characteristics. In this workshop we’ll take an in-depth look at which elements are the building blocks of your dosha and learn how the ancient philosophy and practices of Ayurveda  can help you maintain optimal health.

In this practical exploration and application of Ayurveda, you will:

  • Explore an in-depth look at the doshas: vata, pitta and kapha
  • Discover your prakriti: your unique Ayurvedic energies
  • Learn practices to manage virkriti: imbalances
  • Learn pranayama (breath control) and yoga to balance your doshas
