In Meditation 101, with senior yoga and meditation teacher Rosa Lynley, you will learn the secrets to making meditation accessible, enjoyable, inviting, and even illuminating. The workshop will start with a gentle yoga practice to prepare the body for meditation, and then you will learn several different meditation techniques in both seated and reclined postures.
You will learn to:
- Practice japa (mantra) meditation
- Utilize pranayama (yogic breath) for meditation
- Work with the unconscious mind to gain a deeper understanding of yourself
- Calm your nervous system
All levels of experience are welcome for this workshop. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat.
This event is in-person at NOPA studio. This module provides 3 contact hours toward Folk’s 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification with Yoga Alliance, or 3 CEUs if you are already a Registered Yoga Teacher.
