Pranayama Teacher Training: The Art and Science of Breath

Unlock the power of your breath in this comprehensive 30-hour training led by Meera Dhawan. This hybrid course combines classical yoga with modern science. As a result, you will learn how to use the breath to bridge the nervous system and emotional health. Furthermore, Meera uses a trauma-informed approach. Therefore, you can safely deepen your own practice while learning to teach others with care.

Through online modules and in-person weekends, you will master essential breath techniques. Specifically, you will learn how to calm, activate, and balance the energy body. In addition, you will study student needs using simple frameworks like the gunas and vayus. Then, you will use proven formulas to create custom breath sequences. Whether you teach Vinyasa, Yin, or private sessions, you will gain the skills to lead with confidence and safety.

What You Will Learn

By the end of this 30-hour course, you will be able to:

  • Teach Classical Breathing Techniques: Safely practice and guide key Pranayama techniques like Nadi Shodhana, Bhramari, and Kapalabhati. Plus, you will learn how to manage key health precautions.
  • Design Custom Sequences: Use clear sequencing formulas to add breath techniques to group classes or one-on-one sessions.
  • Use a Trauma-Informed Approach: Combine modern science with subtle body systems to offer safe, accessible variations for every student.
  • Connect Breath to Anatomy: Explain how breathing techniques regulate the nervous system while balancing inner energy.
