Folk SF is a leading national center for prenatal yoga teacher training with graduates successfully teaching throughout the U.S., Asia and Europe. Our program is one of few that offers Yoga Alliance registration as a Prenatal Yoga School (the only nationally-recognized standard for prenatal yoga teacher training). Folk’s Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training, led by Melylah Smith (RYT 500, E-RYT 200), lays a strong foundation for understanding the emotional, physical, and mental impact of pregnancy and birth in today’s world and birthing culture.

This robust training is divided into two 5-day modules. In Module II: Advanced Techniques, you will learn to artfully sequence and teach complete prenatal classes. In this module, you will gain an understanding of how to:

This module includes additional offerings by a diverse group of guest teachers. Together, we will explore ideas around collective healing, and how we can grow as a society by uplifting birthing people regardless of race, class, or gender identity.

Module II: Advanced Techniques is recommended for those who feel passionate about prenatal yoga and want to become a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT®). It is also recommended for birth workers, educators, and pregnant students themselves.

This course provides 45 Elective Contact Hours for our Folk 300 Hour Program (45 Yoga Alliance® CEUs). Please note that to receive Yoga Alliance’s Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) Certification, both the Foundations and the Advanced Techniques Trainings must be taken.
